Mercure Resort Sanur, Bali

Did you ever feel bored to visit Bali? I think Bali always offers a complete portion of all aspects of the tourist attraction, from beaches, mountains, and culture itself. And a lot of foreign tourists who come to Bali for weeks or months, therefore many of the hotels in Bali that handle guests for long-stay like one of the hotels I will visit is Mercure Resort Sanur. As the name, this hotel is located in Sanur area and the most important is this hotel has a private beach!

I arrived at the airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali at around 4 pm and directly picked by the Mercure team, from the airport to the hotel itself takes about 40 minutes.

Lobby

So, since the Mercure hotel here is the only Mercure hotel with a resort concept, so the interior lobby here is very different from other Mercure hotels, more towards open-space and certainly still using the typical colors of the Mercure itself like purple and orange on seats- chair.

Because it was late afternoon so I went straight to the reception desk to do the check-in process, and during the check-in process I also explained about the program “My Resorts” along with the activities that I will do in this hotel.

The Room

From the lobby area, I saw a map of this hotel so we didn’t stray hahahaha. But I think the hotel is very spacious! maybe many guests are afraid to forget about their own room hehehe.

mini Rice Field

I get a room “Family Suites King & Children Bunk Beds” type which turned out to be its own location not too far but also not too close to the lobby. Fortunately, the Mercure team is very quick to bring my things.

I can not wait to get in … I was instantly amazed by the extent of this room, because there are a separate living room and bedroom area, has 2 bathrooms (no bathtub), and also has 2 bedroom areas (1 main bedroom & 1 bunk bed for children), and what makes this room even better is the direct view towards the pool and has 2 balconies. So almost all types of rooms here must have a private balcony and can choose either on the ground floor or on the 2nd / 3rd floor.

and the price range for this room type is IDR 2.650.000 / 4 people

The Pool

Since the hotel is very spacious as I mentioned, this hotel provides 2 pool facilities, the first one is the largest pool near my room and another one is smaller pool beside the restaurant, and which I like from hotel pools in Bali must have a deep pool depth, as in this hotel reaches 2 meters depth.

The Beach

this hotel has the most extensive private beach compared to other hotels next to it, but the drawback is the beach at this hotel doesn’t get sunrise or sunset right on the horizon, so essentially the sun will rise from the left side of the beach and set to the right.

Stand Up Paddle Lesson (MyRewards)

The second benefits of MyRewads are that you can try to stand up paddle lesson on the beach of this hotel. First, we have to fill in our data and write if there is a history of disease, then we do warm up and exercise in the sand, we are taught how to paddle forward, turn right & turn left, and then we learn to paddle while standing, when all theories have been taught then we go to the water, we will initially feel unbalanced and once in a while we will surely fall, but over time we will get used to, and at the end I had a fast-race with my trainer hahahahaha.

Lunch @ Pandawa Restaurant

there is no buffet for lunch this time, so I try to order a la carte food, the food menu is very diverse ranging from traditional food to western food, and from all the menus I have tried I prefer the traditional food, SOOO DELICIOUS! believe me!

PLANET21 Garden Tour & Activity

So AccorHotels highly upholds the natural environment, in fact in some hotels made Planet21 program that aims to preserve nature, as in this Mercure hotel they plant a variety of plants such as mushrooms, chili, tomatoes, etc. which will be used for in their own kitchen. And I also have the opportunity to plant papaya trees to help preserve nature here, and this activity is open to the public, all you need is just to ask the hotel team.

MyGlass @ Breeze Bar

for MyGlass, we only need to pay IDR 302,000 net/guests to enjoy free-flow of non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic drinks (at a certain hour), I think we would be more benefited if using MyGlass than if you had to buy a beverage without MyGlass, especially the price of alcoholic drinks is not cheap.

Cycling around Sanur Beach (MyHost)

around 5 pm, I was invited to cycle to the Pasar Sindu (Sindu Market) that is located approximately 5KM from the hotel, because we are cycling through the Sanur beach so it does not feel tired and we will be served with beautiful Sanur beach and of course the row of hotels and cafes that also has a private beach in Sanur. Pasar Sindu is more serving foods such as rice mix, porridge, chicken noodles, etc. From there we return to the hotel via the highway.

Dinner @ Pandawa Restaurant

after tired of cycling, I went straight to Pandawa Restaurant for dinner, and this time is BBQ night on the beach, and the menu is served quite diverse but because the name is BBQ Night so I prefer to eat satay! And the special of this dinner is there’s traditional fire dance with their dangerous attraction which is very entertaining!

Aqua-Aerobic (MyRewards)

Last but not least, MyRewards offers Aqua-Aerobic program which is held in swimming pool near my room. Before entering the water we have to warm up first, then we go into the water which is 1 meter deep, I think Aqua-Aerobic is very fun activity and suitable for anyone of any age.

Conclusion

After staying for 3 days 2 nights I feel healthier especially with MyResorts activities hahahaha, ranging from MyRewards, MyGlass, MyWellness, and MyHost, all presented programs that make you will not forget this hotel, and the hotel itself also fits for families especially for the room I was staying in!
